Triathlons of sorts, both the SAT and ACT are tests of endurance and retention in performing predictable behaviors and habits—rather than tests of high-level concepts that students are accustomed to in school. It’s entirely normal for students of all levels to struggle quite a bit with the tests since they require such different preparation and such different skills from tests in school.

Our approach at Forum is to customize a unique program to each student based on their strengths and challenges, typically with a focus not only on memorization, but strategy, retention, pacing, metacognition, conscientiousness, and long-term timelines so that students can train to think like the tastemakers.
