Introducing Jane Moskowitz, Forum’s Director of Family Educational Advising

by Thomas Howell

As we approach peak back-to-school season, I’m excited to announce that Forum has taken the next step in our ongoing commitment to continuously elevate the standard of tutoring service for our students and families. We have created a new position, Director of Family Educational Advising, and found an amazing educational talent to join our team. It’s my pleasure to introduce you to Jane Moskowitz.

Though new to Forum, Jane is already an established go-to expert in our communities for all things education. A native of the Upper West Side, Dalton graduate, and current resident of the Upper East Side with a psychology degree from Duke and a MEd from Bank Street, and a former star teacher at Stephen Gaynor School, Jane lives and breathes learning. Beyond her years of experience as a learning specialist working with students of diverse learner profiles, Jane has devoted her career to researching and understanding the very different ways that students access academic content. Alongside deep knowledge at both the institutional and individual levels, Jane combines keen insight with warmth and confidence, hallmarks of the most effective and meaningful educators. She is a natural champion for families, and her counsel makes immediately clear that you are in great hands in her care.

Whether it's guidance on how to effectively advocate for your student with school-based teams, the root causes of challenges in specific academic domains, how students can leverage their academic and personal strengths to foster success in other areas, or getting students the right individual supports—tutors, of course, and also neuropsychologists, psychiatrists, and speech and language pathologists—Jane can provide insight and guidance related to all aspects of your child’s academic experience. She is a tremendous resource for holistic and proactive support in the achievement of your child’s big picture goals.

Jane is on hand for all our families to discuss their child’s academic success. To get in touch, you can reach her at jane@forumeducation.nyc, or just reply to this email and I’ll be happy to connect you. You’ll be hearing from her in this channel in the future as well. We are extremely fortunate to have her on our team, and we couldn’t be more excited for your family to meet her!
