Jivahn discovered his passion for teaching at a young age: as he worked towards his Eagle Scout award, he quickly realized the joy and fulfillment of mentoring the younger scouts in his troop and helping them earn their own merit badges. After finishing high school in France, he obtained a B.A. in Economics from Princeton University, earning a triple minor in Finance, Operations Research, and Sustainable Energy and graduating summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. During his time at Princeton, Jivahn continued to pursue his interest in teaching as an economics and math tutor in the Princeton McGraw Center, designing and teaching 2-week courses in Shenzhen (China) and in Lonavala (India). After graduating from Princeton, he completed an MSc in Innovation and Management and graduated top of his class at Imperial College Business School in London. At Imperial, Jivahn continued teaching at the graduate level as a study group leader in economics and finance and again graduated at the top of his class.

A professional educator for the better half of a decade, Jivahn has worked with dozens of university and high school students across seven countries.

Having been brought up across the United States, France, and India, and having studied in the United States, France, and the UK, Jivahn uses his multinational and cross-cultural experience to be able to tailor his lessons to a wide range of students approaching academic challenges from equally diverse backgrounds. Across all students and topics, though, he supports students with the fundamental assumptions, logic, and background information necessary to progress—all while keeping material grounded with humor and steady attention not just to what will help students ace their courses but also to the material’s real-world applications. In this way, Jivahn mentors students in the learning process itself, helping students become independent learners who can take their studies into their own hands.

When he is not teaching his students or working on various ambitious startup projects, Jivahn enjoys mountain hiking, international travel, and researching and brainstorming solutions to economic and public policy challenges.
