Forum’s math and science tutors include professors and PhDs from schools like Yale and Columbia, MDs from Harvard and NYU, authors of best-selling math books, tech entrepreneurs awarded by Microsoft and 30 Under 30, and former coders for startups and the US Government. Half of our approach is knowing STEM concepts at the highest level, so we can adapt that understanding to the individual needs and interests of any class or student.
The other half of our approach, however, isn’t knowing how and why high-level STEM concepts make sense; it’s knowing why they often don’t make sense to first-time learners so that we can anticipate and clear any hurdles. In the end, credentials don’t mean much if they don’t let us empathize with the ambitions and challenges alike of our students.
